I promise this will be my last post about Tiger Woods for a while - today Tiger Woods announced he will have season-ending knee surgery to repair a ruptured left ACL.  He hurt it jogging after the British Open last year.  Since the injury, he hasn’t done too bad:

Event Finish Money
WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Won $1,350,000
PGA Championship Won $1,260,000
Deutsche Bank Championship 2nd $522,667
BMW Championship Won $1,260,000
Tour Championship Won $1,260,000
Target World Challenge Won $1,350,000
Buick Invitational Won $936,000
Dubai Desert Classic Won $417,000
WGC-Accenture Match Won $1,350,000
Arnold Palmer Inv’l Won $1,044,000
WGC-CA Championship 5th $285,000
Masters 2nd $810,000
U.S. Open Won $1,350,000

Sweet Jesus.  Oh yeah, and that last one, the U.S. Open?  He had a double fracture in his tibia as well.  You couldn’t write this.  And people ask why I am such a big fan of Tiger Woods…

Just Do It

Amazing.

Tiger Woods never ceases to amaze me.  Overall, he played poorly today, and not just because of his bum knee.  He made both physical and mental mistakes that he normally doesn’t make.  But once again, it didn’t matter.  Tiger is Tiger because when he absolutely has to make it happen, he WILLS IT IN.  Wow.  An hour later, I am still in awe.  As much as I like Rocco Mediate, I hope Tiger trounces him tomorrow.  Win or lose, Tiger’s back nine yesterday and the final hole today will go down in history.  What a Father’s Day!
