Muddy Water’s classic blues jam from Martin Scorsese’s Shine A Light.  Great concert DVD/documentary.

John Mayer Live In Tinley Park

Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed the concert on Friday.  I thought some of you would like the live recording of the show.  Here it is.  Right click on the link and click either “Save As…” or “Save Target As…”.  Let me know if you need help or it doesn’t work.  It’s kinda big so it might take a while to download.  Enjoy.

Go Tell Your Friends What Johnny Did

Posted: July 19th, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Music | Comments

I will spare you the slobbering, but last night’s concert was yet again incredible.  JM rarely blogs about specific shows, but he did so immediately after this one:

“1 hour, 12 minutes post-show.

Chicago…

This has become more than just ticket sales and career advancement.

In fact, this has nothing to do with it.

These shows have transcended.

This is about making 20,000 people feel okay in the world.

Not alone.

Full.

Hopeful.

JOYFUL.

To the magazines, blogs, entertainment shows, et al…

I say to you with my chest out and a big part of Chicago to stand behind me and back me up:

You may have my image, but you cannot take my sound.

Thank you Chicago.”

Awesome.

John Mayer - Gravity

In honor of the John Mayer concert tonight, I give you what is probably my favorite JM song.  I was fortunate enough to see this particular performance at last year’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.  If tonight’s performance is one tenth as good as the festival was, I will be pleased.
