This guy is the President of the United States of America, with capital letters. Just like this guy and this guy, he deserves the respect of the country and the world. It’s very easy to lose sight of that when a President makes a decision you don’t agree with or compromises when he said he wouldn’t. Hell, it really makes me mad. But we musn’t forget he has the hardest job in the entire world. I’d like to think that we are above fear-mongering and race-baiting. After all, these are trying times for everyone: Democrats, Republicans, lefties and righties. Each and every American citizen feels as if their livelihood depends on the next decision made, the next law passed. Given that, why would anyone be rooting against this man? His success is our success. There’s nothing admirable about rooting for the leader of your country to fail. Anyone who argues the contrary is probably not someone you should be listening to.
