I believe Planet Earth is one of mankind’s finest — finest! — achievements. That may seem like a wild exaggeration, but those who’ve seen it through would have a hard time arguing. It serves as a reminder that we are not the only living inhabitants of this planet. The series focuses on the way various species interact with their surroundings. It doesn’t, however, touch on human involvement.

Now comes Human Planet. It “describes the human species and its relationship with the natural world” in locations all over the world. Here’s the trailer:
