Recently, I’ve been getting a number of questions from concerned parties regarding the state of this blog. I haven’t posted in four months; not once since I’ve been back and settled in the United States. I’ve half-written a number of posts, only to leave every single one at the altar. How do I follow up an experience like this? Bitching about the Cubs or fawning over my favorite musicians doesn’t seem like appropriate form any longer.
The fact of the matter is, however, that I have come to enjoy writing quite a bit. Crafting an argument or a message is an efficient way for me to hone my thoughts on various aspects of my life. I thoroughly enjoy learning about new things and love sharing what I’ve learned with others. Watching someone else get excited about what I’m talking about, whether they agree with me or not, is a thrill. I recognize that in this day and age every moment spent consuming something is a moment not spent consuming many other things. I intend to make every moment you spend on this site a valuable one.
My goal will be to make at least one post per week with the following basic requirements: it must be well thought out and, most importantly, I have to try to make you, the reader, better off by having read it.
Simple. I hope you all hold me to it.
