Goals For 2009 So Far
August 28th, 2009

Back in January, I made a post regarding my goals for the year 2009.  Overall, I’ve done……not so great.

1.  Work harder and get the grades I am capable of getting in school

Hmm.  This one hasn’t been going so well.  Last semester was less than stellar.  This semester, I have to get the best grades of my college career while taking 17 credit hours.  It can be done, but it won’t be easy.

2.  Work hard to interview and receive an internship

This summer I worked in the Information Technology department of DuPage County.  Despite the long commute, I learned a lot and had a good time.

3.  Be accepted into this study abroad program for the Spring of 2010

Done and done.  I got wait listed during the first round of admissions (at this point, to say I hate wait lists would be the understatement of the year), but was admitted about a week ago.  I could not possibly be more excited to live in and travel throughout Europe.  More on that later.

4.  Maintain a steady workout regiment and eat healthier (very original)

As I normally do, I have gone in and out of running regularly.  Hopefully while I’m at school, I will have a consistent routine.  So far, so good.

5.  Keep interest in trading/the market

Like exercising, my interest in the market is inconsistent.  Considering this is my ideal career path, I need to make that interest an every day thing.

6.  Develop a good idea for a business, preferably on the web

This one is easier said than done.  Still have some time.

We will see what the rest of the year brings.
